Kelly Brook Biography
Kelly Ann Parsons, popularly known as Kelly Brook, is many things. She is an actress, model, TV personality and dancer. Born to English parents, Ken and Sandra on November 23 1979 in Rochester, Kent, United Kingdom, she studied at the Thomas Aveling School before taking up a dance, singing and acting major at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. With her interest in modelling coupled by a perfect physique it was not long before she was walking the runway at the early age of 16.
For the next couple of years Brook modelled for big names in the UK, specialising in lingerie lines. She also posed for adverts and appeared on commercials, she was everywhere. Soon enough she created media frenzy with everyone wanting to know who the sexy beauty was. The interviews kept on coming and the young lady’s ratings in beauty polls were top list.
The star seemed to have no problem with nudity and played such scenes in her movies including the thriller ‘Survival Island’ with her co-star and later fiancie Billy Zane.
In 1999 Brook ventured into television with her first show ‘The Big Breakfast’. Her stay was short lived she moved on to her next project with MTV shows, ‘Select’ and ‘ Babe Watch’ for Granada TV.
Brook’s most memorable television appearance was in the series ‘Smallville’. She played Victoria, a young lady in love with half- human, half-alien Clark Kent but could not be with him due to a big secret that could not be revealed to her. Out of desperation and anger at Kent she goes ahead and marries Lex Luthor, played by Michael Rosenbaum. She reprised her role in the four episodes of the first season of Smallville.
Her other acts have been in ‘The Italian Job’ in 2003, ‘House of 9’, and ‘School for Seduction’. She has appeared on ‘Marple’, ‘Moving Wallpaper’, and also on ‘Survival Island’. Her 2010 ‘Piranha 3-D’ film was a success and was worth millions of dollars in net profit.
Brook was a judge at the Britain’s got Talent series of 2009 but left under controversial circumstances. It was an incident that seemed to be common in the shows that she hosted. Her departure from the ‘Big Breakfast Show’ had earlier caused speculation of her being kicked out, she insisted that she had quit on her own terms.
Another of Brook’s television acts was in the dance series ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ in 2007. She appeared in the show’s Christmas edition a year later due to the death of her father in 2007 which was a trying time for Brook. She stayed away from the limelight, opting to stay in mourning. The star made a comeback in 2010 with commercials and front page pictures on leading magazines. She was cast for the role of Marisa in the much publicised movie ‘Ripper: Letter from Hell’. Brook has since filmed for the role.
She still causes a media buzz with her looks and her 2010 cover of Playboy Magazine did not go unnoticed. Brook is back to modelling full time.
